Spanish Mackerel


Origin: Wild Caught, product of USA

With small yellow spots along their shiny, silver, streamlined bodies, these fast swimmers live along the east coast as well as in the Gulf of Mexico, following temperate waters throughout the year. They have a mouth full of sharp, pointed teeth. Our Spanish mackerel are sourced from the mid-Atlantic, generally harvested by gillnet.

This moist, oily fish is light gray when raw and off-white to beige when cooked. With a distinctive, rich taste, Spanish mackerel is popularly grilled or broiled.
